I received the attached approval notice and plans this morning. In my personal opinion the relaxations are reasonable, however if anyone objects, the appeal process is well-explained on the face sheet. The plans will be available for review at our next community meeting. Please call if you would like to see them sooner.

On a related note, the large, very healthy, and mature Amur Cherry tree on the City boulevard at this address was cut down yesterday. This, despite the fact that the plans show the tree as ‘EXISTING TREE TO REMAIN’. This was a focal point on this avenue, and is partially shown on the left in the first photo. I contacted the City via 311 to enquire. See items 12 and 13 in the Conditions of Approval. If I hear anything further on this, I’ll circulate it.
