[from ECA Planning to neighbours on April 7, 2015]

I received this Approval Notice, and reasons, in this morning’s mail. A PDF of it is attached.

This is the first development permit that I can recall that has no relaxations, and is designed to follow all the rules of the Land Use Bylaw. Just goes to show that it can be done.

I have the plans available for review, however they are identical to those our planning committee reviewed and presented at our March 10th community meeting. Please call if you would like to see them.

Please share and discuss this email with your neighbours, some of whom may not be community members, or may not have provided us with their email address.

Finally, please do not hesitate to call or email should you have any concerns or require further information.

[from ECA Planning to neighbours on February 28, 2015]

I received this Development Permit application and plans in yesterday’s mail. A PDF of some of it is attached.

It is a single family home with a secondary suite in the basement of the main building, and a 3-car detached garage, accessed off the lane – providing two parking stalls for the home and one for the suite. The developer presented an advanced view of this development at our January community meeting, and assured us that no bylaw relaxations would be required. A quick glance at the plans seems to confirm this, however our committee will review the plans in detail.

I have the plans available for review. Please call if you would like to see them. They will also be available at our March 10th community meeting.

You can submit your comments directly via email to all of the following addresses:

dp.circ@calgary.ca — City’s document circulation controller
erlton@shaw.ca  — Erlton Community Association
gian-carlo.carra@calgary.ca  — Our Councillor

The deadline for comment is March 19th.
