I received this Development Permit application and plans some time ago, however I’ve been waiting for additional information from the file manager. A PDF of the application is attached.

Today, the file manager advised: ‘As part of the process of reviewing this application there will be a review of the applicable policies of the Land Use Bylaw 1P2007 and in particular Part 3: Rules Governing All Districts, Division 3: Floodway, Flood Fringe & Overland Flow to ensure compliance.  Furthermore, it is my understanding that Provincial and Federal approvals for projects near water will be required (which the applicants must apply for outside of any Development Permit process). As this is an engineering project my colleagues from Development Engineering who are on the CPAG team will also be giving this application particular scrutiny and may require amendments and/or further studies to be carried out.’ I have the full set of plans available for review. Please call if you would like to see them. The plans will also be available at our June 14th community meeting.
