Neighbour Day was established by the City of Calgary to celebrate our neighbourliness and strong community spirit, which was so evident during the 2013 Flood. As usual, Erlton Community Association plans to celebrate, and we have planned an extra special event on Saturday, June 17.
We will be gathering at the South Patio of the Repsol Sport Centre from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for a barbecue, beer and wine, and other goodies. The band One Nite Stand will be providing entertainment and there will be games for kids and adults! Some local dignitaries will be joining us.
The event is free and includes burgers, snacks, and beverages. Due to Albert Liquor Control Board restrictions, admission is limited to Erlton residents and invited guests, so bring your Erlton Community Association membership or proof of address if you’re not an ECA member. Memberships, which are only $10 and entitle you to a number of benefits, including discounts from local merchants, will be available for purchase. Members will also be eligible for door prizes!
Donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society will be collected to help other neigbourhoods across the country cope with current and future disasters.
See the poster for the event below.
Here’s hoping for a sunny day on the 17th!
