The City of Calgary has opened up their annual Citizen Recruitment Campaign as of Aug. 11 and will remain active until Friday, Sept. 11 at midnight. Please visit Calgary.ca/boards to apply or call 403-268-5861 to speak to the City Clerk’s Office. 

The City is looking to fill 138 positions on 20 various boards, committees and commissions (BCCs). These BCCs provide Council with perspective and recommendations into important civic issues, as well as keeping the City in the know about what the needs and wants of its citizens are. 

Most of these positions are unpaid, while some carry an honorarium.

The successful applicants will be selected at the Oct. 26 organizational meeting.

Those applicants who are Calgary residents, at least 18 years of age, carry specific interest/qualifications relevant to the BCC they are applying to be on, have the time to commit and demonstrate an ability to integrate multiple perspectives into their work will be considered.
