As the result of our email to the file manager, she advises:

The applicant sent in an updated elevation today. They intend to have the sign face north just as the previous sign did. They had made an error on their plans. Please see attached the updated elevation for your reference

You are correct that LUB 104(7)(a) would apply if the Digital Sign is visible from and located within 125m of a building containing a dwelling unit. I have not completed a full Bylaw Check on the application yet, so I cannot confirm that this applies to this sign; however, if it does, a condition requiring the sign to be turned off or displaying a black screen during the prescribed hours would be included.


January 29, 2021

This is a development permit application for a sign to replace the previous Humpty’s Restaurant sign. The building has been re-purposed and the proposed sign will provide advertising for the building tenants. The only major change is the LED display portion will now face South instead of North.

The deadline for comment is February 18th, 2021.
