This is the application by the Dream Centre, who was successful in its application to buy the site of the former Erlton School from the City for affordable housing. The proposal is for 60 units of affordable rental housing targeted to seniors, women, women with children and disabled people in an apartment building format with building envelope to comply with the rules for M-CG (the current zoning for Erlton south of 27th Avenue SW). While they agreed to stay within this envelope, the redesignation application is to M-C2 and not M-CG due to the number of units proposed (unit density cannot be relaxed).

This project is being prioritized by the City, and the drawings intended for development permit application are already available. They hope to start construction this summer.

The Erlton Community Association discussed the proposal at the January general meeting and voted to support the proposal. Please see attached views from 28th Ave and the lane.
